This Crazy Life

This is gonna be another Whopper of a post peeps, sorry ahead of time! I have seriously contemplated just getting rid of our blog, but when I begin to, I feel like I am just throwing away two years of journaling, not very good journaling I might add, haha It is so fun to look back on our newly married years and what we were doing with our lives- THUS the reason I am keeping it- for now. Life has just been hecktic to say the least, two jobs sure is filling my time. Dixie and work fills Colt's time-- he sure loves that pup. Every year my sister has had kids I have gone trick or treating with them. It has turned into such a fun tradition for us. Colt and Bry just watched some important games while we braved the cold. It was sure fun to watch the kiddos and hang with my sisters! I was sad I couldn't see our other niece and nephews.. One year we will drive down to Vegas and go trick or treating with them. And next year we will have to catch Beckham before bedtime..
My super awesome Ninja who isn't super thrilled to take a picture.. :)

And then my adorable little miss Spider with Goose

After Halloween we got to spend almost a week in St. George with Colt's family, which is ALWAYS so fun-- we never want to leave and go through some serious withdrawls. Colt's brother Marshall got married, and might I say he sure had the most beautiful bride ever! I am so excited to get to know Taylor a little more. She is such a sweetheart, and they looked sooo happy! Colt's parents were of course in charge of the luncheon- which was DELISH might I add. It was fun to get ready and help decorate for it.

They are sure going to have some beautiful kids!!! Such a cute couple!! Congrats guys (photo cred, Facebook- thanks guys :) )

I threw together this fabric garland, and banner the day before, turned out pretty cute I might add!

The tables turned out DARLING, Jayne made all the candy boxes, and centerpieces which were adorable!!!

I got to decorate this bench, I made the COX letters the day before, Grandma Mary made the freaking cute quilt, My father in law made the clock, and I snatched the old barn window from my sister's stock pile :)

Colt sure loves kiddos.. Especially this little dude!

This year I wanted to get some new pictures of Colt and I, SICK of WEDDING photos haha, so my sister and I rounded everyone up- including Dixie- and snapped some quick pics in her back yard, and the cemetary that is literally just down the street. I was pleasantly surprised how well they turned out! FYI I am extremely puffy in all of them-- it was my first round on fertility drugs-- and it clearly didn't like my body. But other than that Colt looks so handsome and Dixie just looks like Dixie haha. Oh and the colors are all different for every pic, we were experimenting with some fun things, but these are a few of my favorites :)

 My two loves.

The leaves were so perfect- words cannot describe.

 LOVE this one :)

As soon as we moved into our house we knew Dixie's dog pen just wasn't going to be big enough for her. Since we still need to put  a fence up on one side of our house- next summers project-- Colt decided to create a dog run for her. He built a awesome fence, of which he put sooo many hours into- and rigged it so it connects to the dog pen, so she can have some grass but go in when it is cold. Unfortunately he didn't get it finished before the cold and snow hit, but he has pushed through the weather and got it done. He was so determined to have it ready for her before winter.

Here is the front view of it... its kind of hard to see but Dixie's pen is connected to our shed, so colt fenced behind the shed, and cut a hole in the chain link fence the size of a doggie door so she could go into the open area...Most spoiled dog EVER.

 SUCH a hard workin guy!

It is a pretty long dog run, hopefully it will pay off... Eventually when our whole yard is fenced in, I am going to make this little space a garden. We have ALOT of deer out in Richmond, and I know they can jump fences, but maybe just maybe it will help keep them out somewhat... :)

We were at my parents for thanksgiving this year, which involved ALOT of food, and down time. Pretty sure I gained at least 10 pounds. It was so nice to hang out with the fam, Pollard family holidays always involve going to at least two new movies. So we went and saw Catching Fire- which was A-MA-ZING, and then Frozen which was the cutest disney movie ever! :)

Before frozen started... I think us adults were more excited to see it than they were... oh and don't mind Jords eyes haha this is the best I could get... (sorry goose!)

As much as I want to believe I am the favorite aunt, the truth is I am not- not by a long shot.. EVERYONE LOVES MEME! :)

Colt was so excited to FEAST! :)

Finally caught up with this little dude for enough time to snap a quick picture! He is sure cute and so SO SMART! Love me some Beckham!

The Hueglys invited us to go to a jazz game one weekend, and it was a BLAST! You know you have good seats when you see Jerry Sloan a few rows over, owners walking up and down the stairs, and you have to look way up to see the nose bleed seats- where I have always ever sat at a jazz game- It was a great experience and we feel so blessed they asked us to come with! :) I am loving working with Emily, and finding our friendship grow again. She is such a good friend, and always knows just what to say. I am truly blessed to have her in my life again. Not to mention our hubbys get along great! Whats not to love?!

 Great night with Great company!!!

Blurry pic of us-- it was just so awesome! :)

My calling in our ward is enrichment committee. Which I LOVE-- WAY better than gospel doctrine teacher! ha for our enrichment christmas party I was put in charge of the table decorations, I LOVED making them- I love to craft so I seriously have the best calling :) haha I was trying to think of something cheap and easy but super cute-- and with the help of my lovely big sister and pinterest, and 65 posterboard Christmas trees later Voila I had my self super cheap but cute centerpieces- of which I plan to use as Christmas decorations for my casa.

My basement is officially covered in Glitter :)

Ugh if only the church had cuter chairs and not so ugly carpet... haha

 The finished product :)

EVERY year we get a real tree... Well we were a little late in the game this year- and Colt was even going to opt for no tree at all- because by the time we could get one put up we would leave for St. George so we weren't technically really going to be able to enjoy it very long. We didn't want to waste the time nor money- but I didn't want to be Grinchy either-- so I found a little fake tree that we will put in our basement every year. Our big real trees will go upstairs in our living room, so I figured I should just start collecting smaller ones for our basement, so we can enjoy Christmas throughout our entire house. I was lazy and didn't feel like pulling ALL our ornaments and decorations out so our little tree will just have to do. I am pretty sure Colt is secretly happy I put something up to enjoy :)

We are so excited for Christmas this year-- we are going to Colt's family's casa, and it will be a blast!! We now have two new in laws in the Cox fam, so it will change the dynamic a little bit- it is going to be so fun! I am just praying it is warmer there than it is here in Logan, we love to escape the bitter cold in the valley. This year I made myself a promise that I would get ALL my shopping done before thanksgiving, and oh boy it was so worth it! It feels good to not have to stress about gifts. :)

 Merry Christmas everyone!!

Fall Update

Hold onto your britches everyone, this is gonna be a LOOONNNGG one! So many awesome things have happened in the last month, and since this is in a sense our way of journaling about our life I want to cover all of them! We kicked off the end of September/ beginning of October with the JDRF walk for Kayson. It was a walk for a diabetes cure 5K. We were team Super K, with our fearless superhero Kayson as our leader. :) He was absolutely adorable, it was such a fun thing to do in honor of him!

 Jason with Beckham boy

 The sisters- Aren't they pretty?

The Team: Kayson walked in FRONT the entire time :)

Miss Boo hitched a ride on Colt's shoulders for half the time, she now prefers him over me.

Being a baby has its perks :) Thank goodness for buff men!

Family Love

My two favorite people :)

I got a new job a few weeks ago working as a Receptionist at a Salon, and so far I LOVE IT!! Everyone I work with is so awesome, and it is just such a chill environment! My very good friend Emily Taylor (Heugly) is a hair dresser there and one day she sent me a message telling me they were hiring for a part time position - because my Event Coordinating job slows WAY down in the winter months- so I applied and before I knew it I was hired and training 3 days later. It has been such a huge blessing. :)

I was so excited for Fall to come, and now it is passing us by sooo FAST! Just last week the trees were so GORGEOUS and now most leaves have fallen :( that is the worst part about fall! Luckily Colt's family came up to Logan at the perfect time, the leaves and colors were perfect. We were so excited to have them stay with us! They came up the Thursday before conference, and left Sunday morning. It was such a great weekend, we just relaxed, watched movies, listened to conference on Saturday- and ate a ton of treats :) They brought some birthday presents for me with them, holy cow did they SPOIL me!! I LOVE LOVE LOVED the gifts they gave me! I got a kindle fire HD, and some stinkin cute colorful mugs- of which Colt and I will get TONS of use out of this winter making hot chocolate. I feel so blessed to have married into such a giving, amazing family! They sure know how to make a gal feel good thats for sure! They also took us out to dinner in honor of my upcoming birthday, it was so nice! We can hardly wait to see them again, serious depression hit the Cox household after they had left!!

Sadie Bug rode the Saddle for me at Texas Roadhouse :) They sang too loud as you can tell.

While I was at work, Colt took them on a "Scenic" drive through the valley, the Colors were STUNNING!! We have such a beautiful family!!

He also took them to see Napoleon Dynamites house, Cute Mickey!! :)

I wish I had gotten more pictures the weekend they were here, I am such an idiot!! The following Monday Colt and I celebrated our 2nd Anniversary!! It is so crazy I married this guy 2 years ago- man time flys!! Everyday I thank my lucky stars I found Colt! He is the love of my life!

We celebrated by going to Red Lobster, and ate way more than we should have, it was heavenly!

He sent me the most GORGEOUS bouquet of flowers to the Salon, they were beautiful!!

I got to go to Burley Last weekend with the sisters, it was so much fun! It was homecoming week so my little Sister Jayme got to cheer at the Varsity football game. She is so fun to watch, and such a good cheerleader! Half way through the game they called all the BHS Alumni cheerleaders to the track to do the Alumni cheer and fight song, I was so embarassed, but I did it nevertheless Jayme was so excited we all got to cheer together :) 4 generations of Pollard cheerleaders, CRAZY!

It was FREEZING!

Felt good to be home :)

I got back from Burley on Sunday afternoon, and everyone knows Sundays are NAP days- so of course I laid down for a snooze, WORST MISTAKE EVER. When I woke up my back was a little stiff, I thought ah this will go away here in like an hour- but it didn't. It actually got worse and worse. We went to bed around 9 but by 11 I was in so much excruciating pain, I couldn't even move without my back tensing up and hurting sooo bad. So Colt hurried and got dressed and rushed me into the ER. They ran a bunch of tests unsure if it was my kidneys, or really back pain. I HATED getting an IV, but oh boy the medicine they put in it was oh so worth it! After they drugged me up good, they sent us on our way- with the conclusion that I had just pulled some of my lower back muscles. I have never experience pain like that. The next day I barely could walk so I looked like EEGOR, it was humiliating! Luckily I work with some amazing people who let me rest the next couple days- and now I am on my way to recovery. I now can totally sympathize with people who have had back issues- it is awful!

A very tired/worried husband

I looked like death, so only pictures of my arms will suffice haha

Once again Colt amazed me with how well he took care of me, he is so caring- and was willing to do anything I needed! When we have kids he is going to be such a good hands on kind of dad! I sure would be lost without him! We have been trying to get pregnant for well over a year now, and it just gets harder and harder every month. In the ER they ran some blood tests and when they said the words that I wasn't pregnant it was just another sting to add to the pain I was already experiencing. Luckily I had a appointment with my OBGYN the very next day after the ER. FINALLY some good news in the fertility department- after so many hurtful bad months- My doctor is now putting me on Chlomid. We will see what happens, he was very hopeful it will work-- and I sure hope he is right. It will increase our chances of having mulitples by 10%-- I know that isn't alot- BUT our neighbors have 2 (not 1) but 2 sets of twins- and they were on Chlomid!! We are super nervous with that being a possibility, but we are also so ready to become parents that if it happens we will be so happy! He is starting me on a higher dosage than normal, so cross your fingers it will work!!

This week I got to celebrate my 24th birthday!! It is crazy to think I am this old, I always imagined having at least 3 kids by the time I hit my 24th birthday-- but my life has turned a different route than I always imagined. I worked all day, and Colt had told me he was going to take me out, but instead he surprised me by inviting all my siblings, and Sam out for ice cream cake! He is just so awesome- I know I say that alot, but he really is! :) I got so spoiled! Thanks everyone for the birthday wishes, you are all the best!

My best little bud!

My Parents and Jayme sent these beautiful flowers!! Made my day!!

This man. :)

Life is looking up, we are so excited for the next couple months! Colt's brother is getting married, thanksgiving, and then Christmas will be here before we know it! YAY for the holidays! :)

Goodbye Summer, HELLOOOO FALL!!

I am so excited for fall I can hardly stand it!! Holy cow it has come fast!! So many new exciting things have been happening as of late! Most recently my Dad had to speak at a conference in Salt Lake City for organ donation, so he got all of us kiddos our own hotel rooms, and we had a family get-away weekend in the city. It was so much fun to be surrounded by family! We got there on a Friday night, and then the next day my Dad had a surprise for us, we drove up to the Salt Lake City Cemetary and found some of our ancestors graves... My Great Grandpa Pollard, and my GREAT GREAT Grandpa Pollard's graves. It was a really neat experience. My Dad shared a really cool story about our Great Great Grandpa and how he came to the Salt Lake Valley. It really opened my eyes as to how much the pioneers sacrificed just to get to Zion- to the temple. I am so grateful my ancestors followed the spirit to Zion.

 My great great grandpa Pollard....

You can't see it, but my great grandma's name is Ella... I LOVE that name... someday hopefully we can name a baby girl Ella!

Next up on our quick SLC trip we went to Hogle Zoo... I wish I could have gotten more pictures, but it was POURING rain, so I didn't want to mess with getting my camera out... Here are a few of the things I managed to get pictures of.. oh and Colt and Bry left us before the zoo and headed to Logan for the first USU home football game, thus the reason neither of them are in any pictures...

 Watching the seals..

This guy gave me the CREEPS!!!

Dad Had a motorized wheelchair- it was so nice! Kyler hitched a ride once and a while...

Poor little Kayson's head is barely poking out...

Love my Momma and sissy..

I thought this was the cutest elephant in the world.. Kayson wasn't as thrilled as me...

Life has been getting pretty busy.. Since my event coordinating job slows SIGNIFICANTLY down in the winter, and I am done with school- I decided to get another part time job. My very good friend Emily Heugly (Taylor) text me one day saying that her salon was looking for a part time receptionist-- I figured what the heck I might as well apply, one thing led to another and I was in the Salon training less than a week later. I am LOVING it!! My most favorite part of the day is when we both get home from work, every night has turned into a ritual for Colt and I, we get home- and take Dixie girl on a walk. It is crazy how human like animals can be! Lately when we put her leash on her she thinks it is time to play tug-a-war even though we are on a walk. It is quite the sight...

She is SUCH a handful! But we love her none the less :)

Oh the life of a dog

One of our nightly walks, the lighting and setting was GORGEOUS, I couldn't resist snapping a picture... We live in the prettiest place!

We also had a birthday this month which was pretty exciting!! Our Beckham boy turned the big 1!!! He is oh so adorable, and getting to big! Such a sweet boy!!

Birthday boy with Nana!! P.s. can I just say I am the WORST at pictures... I ALWAYS am taking them, and NEVER am in them....

HE has the CUTEST laugh in the world can I just say?? He was cracking us up!! Love him to death!

We are LOVING being home owners... There is nothing better than having our own space to call home. I have been a painting maniac this weekend and started to tackle our YUCKY upstairs bathroom... Haha I should have gotten before pictures, but I forgot! I sanded down the bathroom cabinet, doors, and drawers and painted them. Next weekend we will paint the walls and ceiling, and hopefully get some new flooring (still trying to convince Colt) It is so fulfilling refurbishing old things... I will post some pics when we have it all done! Still so much more to do!

Colt entertained himself, neighbors, and Dixie girl with a little bonfire while I painted my life away...

Dixie was scared to get too close to the fire, it was pretty funny... Just a little side note: The best part of our yard is the fact that there is two HUGE pastures (with horses :) ) between us and the other block, so it makes our yard feel bigger than it really is.

Colt and our neighbor Royal enjoying the fire..

I am SO SO thrilled that FALL IS HERE!! The leaves have officially started to change, and the temperatures are dropping! I am all about layers, hot cocoa, pumpkin, and comfort food aka soup!! With the cold beginning to set in I have been in the crafty mood-

I found this piece of wood in a old wood pile in St. George.. Didn't it turn out PERFECT?!  I needed something with just a little splash of color.

My Mom has a collection of old windows, so I snatched this one from her a while ago and decided to paint it yellow... Once its done I will post pics!!

The fall season is right around the corner, we have Kayson's diabetes walk next weekend, and then the next weekend Colt's familia is coming to see us!! We are so so excited to see them! After that we will celebrate our 2 year anniversary, and oh my goodness time is FLYING! I cannot believe we have been married for almost 2 years-- where has the time gone?! We have so much to get done in the next couple weeks, but couldn't be more excited, life is good!!
