Life as of late

WOW this summer has flown by! I cannot believe we are almost to SEPTEMBER, which I am totally okay with- I LOVE FALL! Bring it on! :) Colt on the other hand isn't so keen on the cold, and cloudy days- Poor guy! But anyways Fireworks was a success this year as always, but I feel like I haven't been able to get on top of ANYTHING since I got back from selling. Time has gotten the best of me.. so here is a quick recap of our last few weeks, sorry there is alot of pictures of the niece and nephews, but since we have moved to Richmond they have been my little buds, I am in HEAVEN! We started out July with a birthday, Kayson turned 5 which is CRAZY! So we celebrated with his three favorite things: Fries, Chicken Nuggets, and a movie :)
 SUCH a BIG boy!!

In our last blog post, I had mentioned how we got a puppy! OH MAN puppies are just like having a child.. haha Not going to lie, she seriously stressed me out the first week, but now that she is used to us and we are used to her it is smooth sailing :) Dixie is the happiest most loving pup in the world. Colt and I love to just sit and watch her when we get home from work- she LOVES Colt, and follows him everywhere. She is most definitely HIS dog, which I am totally okay with :)

Colt with his pup the day we went and got her

After months of searching, and weeks of waiting we FINALLY closed on our first home!! We are so thrilled to have a place of our own! The week we closed Colt and I were so excited that we couldn't wait to move- so we packed all of our stuff up and moved it out to the house- with the help of my big sis and Colt's dear friend Easton we got everything moved in- it was great! That weekend my Mom happened to come to Logan so everyone pitched in and we got some much needed painting done. It was awesome, thanks to everyone who helped us that week it was much appreciated!!

Paperwork signed and keys to our new casa!

Kyler was our entertainment while we unpacked- what would we do without this cute face!

 Pretending to be a puppy...

Since my Mom was in town- and all of us siblings (minus Jayme) live in the same town we decided to do a family dinner on Sunday. It was so relaxing and fun to hang out with everyone. My most favorite part: watching my adorable nephews wrestle- Beckham is a RIOT! :)

Teo with the babies-- they are both getting so big, and my bro is the cutest daddy in the world! So fun to watch!

Fun on the tramp, even Colt got on and did some flips- he couldn't resist :)

Its crazy how fast Dixie girl is growing!! But still oh so adorable!

One of our evening walks. I love my husband!!

A man and his dog- pure joy :)

This girl and I have seen ALOT of each other lately- she is so funny!

Kyler Love.

Well thats about it for us for the last couple months, but we won't be slowing down anytime soon.. This weekend is our Annual girls trip with the Mom and Sisters-- and when we get back hopefully Colt and I can make a trip down to St. George to see the Cox fam! We sure do miss them, and wish we could visit more! We are sooo happy for Colt's Brother Marshall- he got engaged this past weekend to such an amazing girl- Taylor!! YAY!! Congrats you two!! They are such a cute couple, and we are so excited to have another family wedding!!
Such a BEAUTIFUL couple- they are gonna have some cute kiddos!! :) Congrats again you guys!

Introducing....

Introducing Dixie Cox!!! We are SOOO thrilled to have a fur-baby, she is adorable and seriously the cutest pup I have ever seen! For a few weeks now Colt and I have been thinking about getting a dog- trying to decide the best kind to get. Then one night Colt found some puppies on KSL- they were Brittany Spaniels, and ready to go to a good home, so we thought heck might as well go look. One thing led to another, and we just fell in love with the little girl. The name Dixie suits her sooo well, and Colt I might add- as I have mentioned many times before he loves his Dixieland. As she gets a little older, her coat will be white and orangish/redish, reminding us of the beautiful Dixie mountains in St. George. Perfect name for a perfect dog. Seeing as how Brittany Spaniels are bred for Fowel hunting, Colt is planning on teaching her how to point, and flush birds. We are both so excited, now to convince Colt into letting me get her a pink collar.. We shall see... ha :)

A Picnic kind of day :)

One Saturday in June Colt and I took advantage of a nice day, plus a few precious hours before I went to work for the entire night and decided to go on a picnic :) It was so nice to hang with my hubby, and enjoy nature- even if it was only for a couple of hours. These are the moments- I know I say this ALL the time but life is truly soooo GOOD! Thank goodness for a couple free hours, and living so close to a beautiful canyon to enjoy!
Old Grist Mill- I am seriously addicted..

I don't know why, but Colt absolutely HATES when I take pictures of him- he is so handsome!

 Off to explore!

 Serenity :)

My little guy turns the big 5!!!!

It feels like yesterday that we got the call from Jess and Bry to quickly drive to Logan because our soon to be baby nephew was on his way! It was truly one of the best days of my life- and he isn't even my child- who knew you could love someone else's baby SOO much! I cannot even fathom the amount of love I will have for my own children someday, but for now my nieces and nephews are literally my world. Since the day Kayson was born, I have been around him on a daily basis- the first few months of his life I was his babysitter everyday, so naturally we bonded- ALOT. He is my Kayser Monkey. I am drawn to him- and he is drawn to his Bugz :) It melts my heart everytime I hear BUGZ this BUGZ that... haha he is honestly my little hero- even though he is only five, I look up to that little man so much. He is the toughest little guy I have ever known, and I am so grateful to have him be apart of my everyday world. I love you Kayser Monkey!!!

At at whopping 9lbs 13 oz. our little guy was such a chubber! Where we got the name CHUBBY Monkey... and then Monkey just stuck.

This was our everyday routine, while Jess was at work- it was the best job I have ever had..

I HAD to post this. Kayson's first Halloween- seriously the CUTEST biker dude out there...

He was ALWAYS soooo HAPPY! His first valentines day- he has been MY valentine every year since...

 Me and my boy.

Colt and I agree that being a Aunt and Uncle to all of these special little spirits is truly the best thing in the world. They all bring soooo much happiness, and we love them all soooooo MUCH! :)

We seriously have the CUTEST Nieces and Nephews-- Just sayin :)

St. George Baby!!

We were soooo EXCITED to run away to St. George for a few days! It is always such a good time, and neither one of us ever want to leave.. One day, sooner than later hopefully, we will live there permantly :) We just have to tell ourselves that so it makes leaving a wee bit easier- but not alot.. haha
It was a sad day, coming home to Logan! We officially have the vacation blues!

Working at a Reception and Event center we get our fair share of wedding ceremonies and receptions.. Whenever I watch a ceremony take place I can't help but feel a certain sadness overcome me. Till death do us part. It just doesn't sit well with me- I want to stop the whole thing and scream they CAN be together FOREVER! This is the one part of my job that I honestly have the hardest time with! Attending James and Corinne's wedding was so fulfilling! It was a BEAUTIFUL sealing, not to mention Corinne looked STUNNING! They were so happy, and it was so amazing to watch. I loved listening to the things the sealer had to say to them, words cannot express how perfect it was. We are so excited and happy for James and Corinne to begin this journey of life together! Congrats you guys we sure love you!
 The happy couple :) Pre-Wedding!

Mr. & Mrs. James Beard!!

The day after Corinne and James wedding Colt's cousin Rio had his homecoming! He was such a great speaker, and from the sounds of it a amazing missionary! After his talk we all gathered for a yummy lunch, and later a giant family home evening with everyone in the family! It was a BLAST! We sang songs, and had a talent show- Of which I might add I married into a family with AMAZING voices and talents! Then we ended the night with more food of course :) haha I swear I gained about 30 pounds this weekend!

Mitchell, Ryan, And Colt

 All the pretty girls!!

 FHE after the homecoming luncheon...

 Nothing better than family..

The Rest of the memorial day weekend kicked off with great food, family and fun! On Memorial Day we went up to Pine valley and cooked up some good ol hot dogs, and smores! It was so fun to just relax with everyone! Sadie Bug and Kellen were the funnest to watch, Kellen LOVED playing in the sand and rocks, and Sadie was cute as a button on our hike! She definately kept us entertained the whole hike :) Until we have our own, Colt and I agree that being a Aunt and Uncle is truly the best thing in the world! We love our nieces and nephews more than anything! I called Sadie my little buddy, she is so stinking cute I just can't get over it!

The Crew, minus Jayne and Grandpa.. haha

Coolest little guy I know :)

 Pretty Micky :)

 Colt playing with the kiddos!

I just love this picture, because they are both looking at Colt like he is giving them some words of wisdom... :) haha

Miss Sadie Bug, eating a S'more isn't she the cutest?!

The day after memorial day we took Sadie and Micky and went and saw EPIC. It was a really cute show, afterwards we just relaxed and enjoyed being in Dixieland! Colt was in heaven going on rides on his bike, and I just loved laying around being lazy! We seriously have the vacation blues- hopefully eventually we can both get enough time away from our jobs to go on a real vacation, but St. George will just have to do for now- and I am okay with that! :) Happy Memorial day everyone!

Colt and Mr. Kellen..

Colt's little piece of heaven! :)

Week of May 12th-18th

It is strawberry season, so that means JAM making season... And boy my big sis Jess and I sure did make lots and LOTS of it... 32 pounds of Strawberries, 50 pounds of sugar (sooo not healthy... so don't judge!) and 20 boxes of pecten later we landed 40 or so jars of jam...Thank goodness we collected all our prego jars throughout the last year!! Unfortunately though, we had strawberries coming out of our ears! This entire roaster pan below was what we had left over- MMM...

 Half of our jars...

The Finished product... OOHHH sooo good, and sooo WORTH IT!

This last week I also had the opportunity to attend a wedding of a very dear friend of mine, Dani Adams. She looked soo beautiful, her hubby is sure a lucky man thats for sure! :) It seems like yesterday that we were in 9th grade, playing night games, going on spring breaks to Vegas, boating, all the fun stuff you do when you are in 9th grade! Oh the memories! I had the best childhood/adolesence because of Dani, and our other dear friend Regan Funk! Obviously life has taken all of us to different places, and people, but these girls will always hold a special place in my heart! Congrats Dani and Jason, we wish you the best!! :)

Its amazing how much we change... This was a typical us when we were little... ha

Love my Dani!

They were so cute!

I had to post this one.. it is just so endearing... Such a beautiful couple, they are gonna have some freakin cute kiddos!!!

My Ainsley... I am so so happy got to see this chicka during the wedding festivities! She is truly one of my best friends!!

This coming week is going to be an exciting one! Colt's little sister Corinne is getting married on Saturday, so we are headed to St. George for a few days, a much needed mini Vaca!! :) We are so excited to see all the family that will be there!! Bring on the Sunshine and WARM weather!!
